L’abbazia di Lindores nella citt\u00e0 di Newburgh, tra Perth e St Andrews, \u00e8 la culla del whisky scozzese.\u00a0\u00c8 noto da tempo che i monaci dell’abbazia furono i primi in Scozia a fare l’Aqua Vitae dall’orzo.\u00a0La storiografia dell’erario britannico (ufficio delle imposte) cita nel 1494 l’ordine del re al fratello John Cor di realizzare l’Aqua Vitae.<\/p>\n

523 anni dopo, nel 2017, lo spirito ha di nuovo esaurito le caldaie a Lindores.\u00a0Negli anni precedenti, Drew McKenzie-Smith costru\u00ec la distilleria nella Lindores Abbey Farm, la fattoria che appartiene alla famiglia dal 1915, e dove riposano i diritti e i doveri verso i resti dell’Abbazia di Lindores.<\/p>\n

Il primo fu quello di perforare la sorgente d’acqua originale e durante quel periodo furono scoperti molti altri resti antichi dell’abbazia.\u00a0L’orzo Concerto \u00e8 stato piantato nei campi accanto alla distilleria.\u00a0Per quanto possibile, tutto il necessario per la produzione del whisky \u00e8 di provenienza locale.<\/p>\n

E ora, nel 2021, si aggiunger\u00e0 un nuovo capitolo a questa lunga storia.\u00a0Il primo whisky della nuova Lindores Abbey Distillery \u00e8 stato imbottigliato.\u00a0Un evento storico per ogni amante del whisky.<\/p>\n

Naso: agrumi e arancia con cere, insilato d’erba, cioccolato secco, fondente e vaniglia.<\/p>\n

Gusto: i sapori finiscono nel mezzo della lingua e poco dopo continuano fino alla fine della lingua, quindi scaldando la gola.\u00a0Piccante con noce moscata, chiodi di garofano e persino pepe.\u00a0Caramello cremoso e vaniglia con frutta pi\u00f9 scura.\u00a0La personalit\u00e0 giovanile fornisce freschezza, ma anche abbastanza carattere.<\/p>\n
