Costruita dalla Mossburn Distillers nel 2013 la distilleria ha visto 4 anni di lavori prima del suo completamento. La Torabhaig \u00e8 dotata di due alambicchi in rame costruiti dalla Forsyths di Rothes, un mash tun e 8 washbacks in legno per una produzione di circa 1,5milioni di litri l\u2019anno. Al suo attivo, ad oggi (2021), ha solo 2 rilasci ufficiali, il primo della serie Legacy distillato nel 2017 e il nuovo Allt Gleann.<\/p>\n
Il\u00a0Torabhaig Allt Gleann\u00e8 il un single malt Scotch whisky torbato della serie Legacy, la serie che ci accompagner\u00e0 fino al rilascio del 10 anni. L\u2019 Allt Gleann \u00e8 stato prodotto orzo distillato nel 2017 e nel 2018 fortemente torbato (tra 55 e 60ppm) e fatto invecchiare in botti ex-bourbon di primo riempimento (first-fill) e refill. Questa edizione \u00e8 stata prodotta in piccoli lotti (small batch) con una selezione massima di 30 botti e imbottigliato al 46% vol. senza essere filtrato a freddo e al suo colore naturale.<\/p>\n
Colore: Giallo paglierino.<\/p>\n
Aroma: Al naso ci accoglie una bella folata di torba salata, tabacco, scorza di arancia, vaniglia e sentori di menta e brezza marina.<\/p>\n
Sapore: Al palato la torba \u00e8 pi\u00f9 decisa, abbiamo note fumo fuligginoso, noci tostate, malto d\u2019orzo, fumo di legna e leggeri sentori floreali.<\/p>\n
Finale: Il finale \u00e8 di buona persistenza, abbiamo note di tabacco, mela, pera, vaniglia e malto d\u2019orzo con sentori di brezza marina e fumo.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
